Sal Gilbertie is the founder and CEO of Teucrium, where he leads the firm’s vision, product innovation, and investment strategy. With a career spanning over four decades in commodities trading, Sal brings deep expertise in liquidity, market structure, and product design—particularly in agricultural and energy markets.
Before founding Teucrium, Sal led the Renewable Fuels & Commodities Derivatives OTC desk at Newedge USA, a subsidiary of Société Générale, where he developed the liquidity and standard contracts that shaped the U.S. ethanol market. Earlier in his career, he held trading roles at Cargill, Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette, Merrill Lynch, and Bear Stearns.
Sal designed some of the first commodities-based exchange-traded products (ETPs) with a focus on access, transparency, and agricultural innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Fairfield University.

As Teucrium’s Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer, Cory Mullen-Rusin oversees the firm’s financial management, accounting systems, regulatory reporting, and compliance functions. She plays a central role in maintaining the integrity of Teucrium’s operational and financial practices.
Cory joined Teucrium in 2011 and worked closely with the firm’s former CFO for seven years before assuming leadership of the finance and compliance functions in 2018. Her experience spans financial planning, reporting, regulatory oversight, and process development—all critical to Teucrium’s commitment to transparency and fiduciary excellence.
Cory holds a B.A. in Communications from Boston College, where she was a four-year NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball scholarship athlete, and an M.B.A. from Nichols College. She was approved as a Principal of Teucrium by the NFA in 2018.

As Chief Operating Officer, Springer Harris manages Teucrium’s business operations, overseeing trading, fund operations, and platform development. He also leads ETF Solutions by Teucrium, the firm’s turnkey platform that helps clients—from first-time sponsors to established asset managers—launch, manage, and grow ETFs with confidence and operational efficiency.
Since joining Teucrium in 2011, Springer has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s ETF infrastructure and deepening its service capabilities. He is the author of GET ETF’D: An Insider's Guide to Starting and Running an ETF, a practical resource for navigating the ETF creation and management process.
Springer began his career with Weber Shandwick’s Emergent Media team and has held positions with the Maryland General Assembly and the City of Burlington, Vermont. He graduated cum laude from Washington College with a B.A. in Business Management, where he served as captain of the Men’s Rowing Team. He holds Series 3 and Series 30 licenses.

Christi Powitzky is the Chief Compliance Officer at Teucrium Investment Advisers, LLC, where she leads the firm’s compliance program, oversees the implementation of policies and procedures, and maintains regulatory risk management and governance oversight. With more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Christi brings deep expertise in regulatory frameworks, including the Investment Advisers Act, the Investment Company Act, and FINRA requirements.
Prior to joining Teucrium, Christi held senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President at U.S. Bank and Chief Compliance Officer for Listed Funds Trust. She also served as a Senior Principal Consultant at ACA Compliance Group, and held senior compliance positions at T. Rowe Price and Invesco.
Christi earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning & Development from the University of Texas and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.

Jake Hanley serves as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Specialist at Teucrium, where he leads the firm’s marketing strategy and serves as a key point of contact for financial advisors, institutional investors, and media. He oversees Teucrium’s marketing operations, including digital strategy, public relations, CRM development, and third-party partnerships, while also contributing to new product research and distribution strategy.
As a Senior Portfolio Specialist, Jake brings deep knowledge of Teucrium’s fund strategies and trading operations, providing insight to investors navigating agricultural and alternative asset exposures. He also supports fund operations and risk controls, including acting as an alternate on key dual-control processes.
Before joining Teucrium in 2018, Jake served as a Financial Advisor and Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where he focused on investment selection, portfolio management, and financial planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He holds the Chartered Market Technician® (CMT®) designation and maintains Series 3, 7, and 24 licenses. Jake graduated from Sacred Heart University with a B.A. in History.

As Director of Finance and Treasury at Teucrium, Parker McIntosh oversees financial reporting and treasury operations across the firm’s ETF platform. His responsibilities include preparing and refining regulatory filings, maintaining internal financial controls, and enhancing treasury workflows to support operational efficiency and fund integrity.
Parker began his Teucrium journey as an intern in 2012 before joining the team full-time in 2017. He has played a central role in developing the firm’s treasury infrastructure and continues to lead initiatives that improve reporting, risk management, and capital flows.
He holds the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation, earned an MBA from the University of Maryland in 2018, and received a B.S. in Biology from Washington College in 2013.

As Financial Controller, Yvette Oliveira plays a key role in Teucrium’s financial operations and reporting. She supports the CFO in preparing company-wide and investment-related financial statements, maintaining accounting policies, and implementing new accounting standards. Yvette also provides technical input on strategic initiatives and helps evaluate opportunities to enhance systems and operational workflows.
Yvette joined Teucrium in 2019 after nearly four decades at Bay State Milling Company, a privately held flour manufacturer. There, she managed the firm’s grain accounting functions—overseeing daily reconciliations of cash and futures positions—and contributed to financial reporting, inventory management, product formulation, and plant support.
She holds an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising from Aquinas College.

Chris Small serves as Head of Trading at Teucrium, responsible for the execution and implementation of the firm’s ETF strategies and for contributing to product development across its multi-asset white-label platform. He brings deep experience in ETFs, derivatives, trading, product design, and advisor operations.
Before joining Teucrium, Mr. Small was Director of Trading at Windham Capital in Boston, overseeing execution for multi-asset ETF strategies and derivative-based hedge funds. He also supported product development, investment and liquidity research, and operational management. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Trader at Windhaven Investment Management, which was acquired by Charles Schwab in 2010. During his tenure, Windhaven grew from $2 billion to nearly $20 billion in assets, with Mr. Small playing a key role in trading, operations, and ETF research.
Mr. Small is a graduate of Middlebury College, where he studied economics, political science, and premedical coursework.

Joran Haugens brings over two decades of trading experience to his role as Portfolio Manager, Trade Operations at Teucrium. He began his career on the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade during the era of open outcry, working as a runner and then as a spread clerk in the corn futures pit—building deep expertise in grain markets while attending college.
After earning his Associate’s Degree from the College of DuPage, Mr. Haugens joined the execution desk at Fimat–Société Générale, executing futures, spreads, options strategies, and cash transactions for a broad range of clients. He later held roles at Jefferies LLC and ED&F Man Capital Markets, advancing to Senior Vice President in the grain division. Mr. Haugens holds the Series 3 license.

Spencer Kristiansen
Spencer Kristiansen is a Portfolio Manager at Teucrium, focusing on trade operations and process improvement across the firm’s ETF offerings. He joined Teucrium in July 2022 and plays a key role in supporting trade execution and operational workflows.
Prior to joining Teucrium, Mr. Kristiansen was an Investment Counselor at Fisher Investments Private Client Group International, working with U.K.-based investors. He previously held roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and Investment Management Specialist, serving high-net-worth individuals and business clients.
Mr. Kristiansen graduated summa cum laude from Champlain College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Tanya Bernard, Human Resource Manager and Financial Manager, began working for the Sponsor in July 2009 until August 2017 as the Office Operations Manager. Mrs. Bernard took a year off, completing her Associates Degree in Administrative Management from the Community College of Vermont and working for Marlboro College in Marlboro, Vermont as Assistant Registrar.
Mrs. Bernard returned to the Sponsor in October 2018 and resumed her roles as Human Resource Manager, assistant to the Chief Accounting Officer in a Financial Manager role and assisting with trading financial duties as assigned.
